The Merry Widow Health Mine is a tunnel into a mountain along the Rockies in Basin, Montana where radon gas is naturally emitted. The mine has helped people find relief from such diverse ailments as arthritis, sinusitis, migraine, eczema, asthma, hay fever, psoriasis, allergies, diabetes, and others. The list is growing constantly as mine visitors tell us of various ailments, from which they have experienced relief.

The visitors drink the spring water, which flows through the mine. The mine's water has also shown to help restore one's health and is rich in various minerals. The water in is tested by the Montana State Health Department and found to be pure for drinking purposes. This water has also cured some visitors of cataracts when used as an eye-wash.

The radon mines of Bockstein and Bad Gastein, Austria, have been studied for over 30 years by the Gastein Research Institute, the Physiological Institute of the University of Innsbruck, and the Medical Clinic of the University of Innsbruck.

The temperature in the mine remains around 60 °F winter and summer so it is advisable to wear warm clothing. First-time visitors should try to commit to 32 one hour visits spread over 10 to 11 days (about three visits a day).

For over 67 years, our visitors have returned in better condition by simply sitting in the mine tunnel to breathe in the radon gas and soaking in the cold spring water. Our treatment lies deep inside the ancient granite and it’s naturally occurring radon gas, which is a product of decaying uranium in granite rock.

The body’s assimilation of radon a process called radiation hormesis works directly on stimulating the immune system allowing the body to heal naturally. As a result of age or other circumstances, our immune system begins to slow down or not function at optimum levels. By regenerating our DNA, through hormesis, our bodies are able to self-heal naturally.

We also encourage our visitors to drink plenty of the mine’s spring water while taking treatments, to help flush the body of toxins, which assists with the healing process. Also, soaking the feet and hands in the water will help to alleviate pain & swelling in the joints and increase circulation. It is also important to get plenty of rest in between treatments, as this helps to regenerate the immune system.

The recommended amount is a total of 32 one-hour treatments, taken over the course of 10-11 days. It is best to do 3 treatments per day, allowing 2 - 3 hours in between treatments.

Results vary with every individual. Some experience relief which lasts 1-5 years, but most return annually to restore the benefits they receive.
